This season the Detroit Red Wing Alumni have partnered with our Title Sponsor, Datapak Services Corporation, and corporate sponsors including Carhartt, High Quality Truck Parts, Best Buy, and Tim Horton's to name a few to bring exciting hockey action to fans of all ages in the Pro Stars Tour.
The Pro Star Tour is a series of games where Red Wings Alumni face off against former NHL stars with the proceeds to benefit various alumni charities.
The Voice of the Red Wings, Karen Newman, will open each game in by singing the National Anthem. She will sign autographs for fans along with a few other select Red Wings Alumni players. Fans young and old will be entertained by former Red Wing greats like Shawn Burr, Lee Norwood, Dennis Hextall, Dino Ciccarelli, Joey Kocur, Eddie Mio, Mike Krushelynski, Nick Libett, Paul Ysebaert, John Ogrodnick, Igor Larionov, and Steve Duschene to name a few.
The first game was held January 5 at Port Huron's McMorran Arena. Upcoming contests stops include February 22 at the Great Lakes Ice Arena in Fraser, a March 2 tilt at the State Fair Coliseum in Detroit, and a March 21 matchup at Munn Arena in East Lansing. The Tour concludes April 5 at Compuware Arena in Plymouth.

Fans can purchase a $10 ticket voucher to attend a game at any location. This is great family fun at an affordable price and benefits some great causes. The Red Wing Alumni also provides fundraising opportunities for youth sport teams, schools, church groups, and other non-profit organizations to keep a portion of the ticket sales which they generate.

Get In The Game:
The Detroit Red Wing Alumni are allowing several opportunities for normal fans to get in on the action during Pro Star Series stops.
- There are opportunities to be the Carhartt Coach of the Day, where one lucky fan can enter a drawing to win a chance to be on the bench as the "Honorary Coach" of the Red Wings Alumni.
- Youth (ages 6 to 17) can enter a drawing to have a chance to be the HQ Super Kid of the Day thanks to our sponsor HQ - High Quality Truck Parts. One lucky youth will be selected each game (no purchase necessary) to drop the ceremonial puck before the game and be on the bench with the Red Wings Alumni as the stick boy or girl for the game.
- The Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association is providing a unique opportunity for average fans to suit up and play hockey with legendary Red Wing stars. Two fans will be chosen to participate in each of the five Pro Star Series Tour games that will be held throughout the state of Michigan. One lucky fan will skate with the Red Wing Alumni team, and the second with the former NHL Pro Stars.
